A good kick up the arse!

It seems that with little time on my hands at the moment for reading or attending moots, I really am stuck in limbo with my path and which way it should lead.

At the moment I think it would be fair to say that I am stuck and empty. Empty as in when things happen I know not who to thank, and when I think I have my path all sorted, I have negative thoughts about it all.

To be quite honest, I think until I have the time to think harder and actually get a feel for things, I should not make any decisions about religion, paths or worship. I quite honestly at the moment feel less of a Pagan than I did before I knew what a Pagan was.

It seems that I seem to be doing a lot of this lately, putting myself backwards rather than looking to the future with positive energy.

I have gone back 10 years in my employment to a job I said I would never ever do again (though it is not as bad as all that), not taking anytime out for myself, to do things I would like to do, and no plans to change any of it either!

Tut tut, good kick up the arse I think I need, and a holiday,,,,,,SOON!

Hmmmm Musings!

Well it is Moot tonight in Hereford. Unfortunately we are both unable to attend, which is a real shame. Tonight they have an hereditary witch with over 40 years of witchcraft behind her, A High Priestess of a Coven.
She will be giving a speech about Wiccan History, the difference between Wicca and Witches. Witchcraft and Divination, healing and spell craft. We really would have loved to have gone.

This would have been very beneficial to our learning and I think it would have maybe given me a little more direction too. I am very interested in Wicca and the life of a solitary hedge witch too, I think I could have picked up some very useful information here. But it was not to be..........This time!

I have been reading more of the Satanic Bible and it still baffles me of how much sense this book makes, more surprising is the attitude of most people (including myself until I started reading this book) of what a Satanist really is.

It seems to me that most people have Satanic traits in their life without even realising it, I know I certainly have.

What the author "Anton Szandor LaVey" says is that if somebody slaps you on the cheek, get ready to launch into him. Unlike the Christian way of thinking which is to offer the other cheek!

As a race we are greedy, we always want more than we need and keeping up with the Jones's is something I think we are all guilty of in one way or another. If you actually sat dawn and made a list of what you needed to survive including clothes, food and shelter, I think many of us would come up with really rediculous items that we need. Here is just one way to commit sin as seen in the Christian bible. We all have too many clothes, too much variety in our food cupboards and far too many other luxuries that we really do not need.

Some of us enjoy sex! But it is the sin that keeps "sinners" returning to the churches every weekend to repent their sins, it is a great way to keep the congregration. The fear of Hell is enough to keep Christians in the churches and paying out their hard earned cash. It really aggravates me how there is always a church that needs a new roof and donations for this and that. The church is one of the richest businesses in the world, and a business it is too.

I once read somewhere that "Satan has been the best friend the church has ever had". And I fully believe it too.

Although it might seem that I am getting too deep in to the Left Hand Path, I was once told by a very good and respected friend that "Until you can follow one Path, you need to look at others). This is something that I still hold dear to me today. It would be stupid of me to only look at one "way of life", "religion" or "worship" without researching others too! Remind you of anyone????

Arty Farty

Thougth I would add some of my art here to the blog, so it is not all just reading!
Hope you like them!

Paths to the Left of me, Paths to the Right.

So, here I am, Stuck in the middle!

I have read very little concerning the Left Hand Path, but at the moment, it seems very interesting and also maybe a little more believable than anything else I have read to date. We have a very good friend that follows the Left Hand Path. Not only is she very knowledgeable in both the Right and Left Hand Paths of Religion, she is also a very good friend as well as an excellent teacher.

We are very lucky our very own Guru Google friend, and answers every question or point indepth and never seems to get bored of us just raiding her mental hard drive, which we are very grateful off.

The Pagans I am now lucky enough to call friends really are a great bunch of people, all with their own individual paths, some are fluffy while others are darker. All of which are right for each of them it seems.

I first found that one Path I was very interested in was more nature based. I have always had a very healthy respect for nature, and I have always tried to instil this to our children. Not that I am a tree hugger, but I can now at least see why they do. Pagans believe that every thing on Earth has a soul, trees, birds, bees, the sea, wind, even the pebbles in a brook. This is something that I had always believed, and never questioned before, I thought everyone thought the same way, kind of!

I would love to believe that fairies live all around us and that other mystical beings such as unicorns, elves and sprites, live without us being able to see them, but then, there is no reason that they don't. Why shouldn't they, millions all over the world believe in a God that they have never seen either. So why shouldn't I believe in what ever I want to believe in?

Now in 2011, I am 35 years old. I have not seen anything good come from some religions, Christianity, Catholicism or Muslim. But what I have seen is a hell of a lot of hatred and war. (there I go bothering the Christians again). I am not saying that people don't get anything from their religions, some people do get a lot from their faith, what I cannot understand is how somebody can follow a faith, when the leaders are so obviously corrupt and would be imprisoned if only the church was not such a great way to control the masses.

This blog is not here to offend anyone's faith, religion or beliefs, just a way to share my confusion and journey in finding my Path.

I hope you find this video as interesting as I did. Here is the second part too.

Where to go from here?

While thinking how to start this new blog, I stared at the blank screen. Not knowing where to start. This is very much the way I personally feel about the Path I would like to follow.

As a child, we were taught Christianity in school, still very much the religion of choice in most village schools these days it seems. When I was in school, we were taught 95% Christianity and 5% other religions. Christianity was pretty much rammed down our throats during lessons and the daily school assembly.

This is one of the worries both my wife and I have with our three children today. We do not want our children to be brain washed the way that we were when we were children.

Over the past few months, I have read many books, websites and have come to the decision that Christianity is just as much of a myth as any other religion, but a religion that I want NOTHING to do with.

In a book a recently read "The Satanic Bible, by Anton Szandor LaVey". A very interesting read indeed! I must admit, I was a little concerned when my wife was given this book, but on reading it myself, it has opened my eyes to so much.

The title " The Satanic Bible" conjures many dark, worrying pictures, but it really is an amazing read. It tells that since the first man/woman, walked the Earth (not Adam and Eve either) that Man has always needed something to worship whether it be the Sun, the Moon or the Stars. Man needs to worship something.

It then goes on to say that the Christians made it so that the 10 Commandments made it impossible for no Man or Woman to be free of sin.

One of the sins is LUST, so if you have had Sexual Intercourse for any other reason than to create life, you are a sinner and will be banished to Hell unless you repent.
Maybe the Catholics should take a leaf from their own fairy tale book too.

Now I do not want this blog or this post to just be about slating other religions, it just gets to me when people stand on their high ground preaching when all the time they are not true to their own religion.

I always thought that Paganism was a little strange and was something to do with dancing naked in the woods the fornicating with everyone in sight before sacrificing a virgin to the Squirrel Gods.

On reading about Paganism, and it's beliefs, it seems that I have already been living quite a Pagan lifestyle anyway for many years.

This is where I started to question my beliefs and how I would like to live the rest of my life.
